Wave-off

What is Wave-off?

Wave-off meaning In naval aviation, to voluntarily discontinue an approach to a landing or a hover because of unsafe or uncomfortable flight conditions. In other situations, to discontinue what you were doing due to some unforeseen circumstance. (Ex. He started walking towards the hottie in the Filipino bar, but had to wave-off when he noticed ‘her’ adam’s apple and pants bulge.)
