What is Remand ?

Remand is (noun) sending a prisoner away for a time when a case is adjourned to be heard at a later date prisoner on remand, remand prisoner prisoner who has been told to come back to the court at a later date The court ordered the prisoner to be kept on remand. A large proportion of the prisoners in this jail are remand prisoners.
