What is Focus ?

Focus is (noun) 1. a point where rays of light from an object meet The focus of the beam is a point 20 metres from the spotlight. 2. (of a photograph) a point where the details of the photograph are clear and sharp Adjust the focus so as to get a clear picture. in focus clear out of focus not clear 3. the centre of attention The director brought the star actress to the front of the stage, so that the focus of the audience’s attention would be on her. (verb) 1. to change so as to be able to see clearly He focused his telescope on a ship on the horizon. 2. to focus on something to look closely at something; to concentrate on something The editorial focuses on the economic situation. The paper is focusing on the problems of the TV star’s marriage.
