What is Fiscal Committees?

Fiscal Committees meaning in finance terminology / glossary / dictionary is:
Committees of members in each house of the Legislature that review the fiscal impact of proposed legislation, including the Budget Bill.  Currently, the fiscal committees include the Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee, Senate Appropriations Committee, Assembly Appropriations Committee, and the Assembly Budget Committee.  The Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Committee and theAssembly Budget Committee are broken into subcommittees responsible for specific state departments or subject areas.  Both houses also have Revenue and Taxation Committees that are often considered fiscal committees.
