What is Crest ?

Crest is (noun) 1. the highest point along the length of a mountain or a wave Follow the path along the crest of the hill – the view is splendid. The crests of some of the waves reached 30 feet. 2. the highest point of something When the president was elected he was at the crest of his popularity. 3. the feathers on the head of a bird A peacock has a tall coloured crest. A striking black cockerel with a red crest. 4. a coat of arms His family crest is a red lion. His college crest is still hanging on his bedroom wall.
