What is Collect ?

Collect is (verb) 1. to fetch something or bring things together Your coat is ready for you to collect from the cleaner’s. The mail is collected from the postbox twice a day. I must collect the children from school. 2. to buy things or bring things together as a hobby He collects stamps and old coins. 3. to gather money for charity They’re collecting for Oxfam. 4. to come together A crowd collected at the scene of the accident.(adv) to call collect US to ask the person being phoned to pay for the call If you don’t have any money you can always try calling collect.
