What is Cohabitation ?

Cohabitation is (noun) 1. living together as man and wife, although not married They had three years’ cohabitation before they got married. 2. a situation where different political parties hold power at the same time, especially in France, where the President and Parliament are elected for different periods of time and so may represent different parties Following the election, we are in for a period of cohabitation.
