What is De minimis Threshold?

De minimis Threshold meaning The notional amount of swap positions connected to swap dealing activity below which a person engaged in such activity is not required to register with the CFTC as a swap dealer. In general, the threshold is defined as swap positions with an aggregate gross notional amount of $3 billion over the preceding 12 months ($8 billion during the rules’ phase-in period).
