What is Semivolatile organic compound (SVOC)?

Semivolatile organic compound (SVOC) meaning Operationally defined as a group of synthetic organic compounds that are solvent-extractable and can be determined by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. SVOCs include phenols, phthalates, and Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).
