What is Presumptive?

Presumptive meaning Based on a reasonable assumption. In non-breastfed infants born to HIV-infected mothers, presumptive exclusion of HIV infection is based on two or more negative HIV tests, one at age 14 days or older and the other at age 1 month or older.
