What is Endoderm?

Endoderm meaning The endoderm is the innermost layer of the three primary germ layers of the embryon. The glandular epithelium arises from the innermost layer.Examples of the tissue that arise from the endoderm layer include: epithelium of pharynx, auditory tube, larynx, trachea, bronchi, lungs, the digestive tract, liver, pancreas, bladder, urethra, tonsils, thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, breast, prostate.Adenocarcinomas arise from tissues derived from the endoderm.
