What is Benign?

Benign meaning Benign neoplasms are typically tumors (lumps or masses) that, if removed, never bother the patient again. Even if they are not removed, they are not capable of destroying adjacent organs or "seeding" out to other parts of the body. They may grow larger but do not spread to other parts of the body.
