What is Myocardial Infarction?

Myocardial Infarction meaning A heart attack. Heart attacks occur when blood flow to the heart is reduced or interrupted, causing severe damage or death to the heart muscle (myocardium). Use of some antiretroviral (ARV) drugs may increase the risk for a myocardial infarction.
