What is Shigellosis?

Shigellosis meaning An enteric (intestinal) infection caused by the bacterium Shigella, which is typically transmitted through contact with contaminated human feces. Symptoms usually include watery or bloody diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, and fever.
