What is Co-deletion?

Co-deletion meaning A deletion is a type of mutation involving the loss of genetic material. It can be small, involving a single missing DNA base pair, or large, involving a piece of a chromosome. A co-deletion is a deletion of two chromosomes that occurs simultaneously, such as the 1p19q co-deletion often found in oligodendrogliomas.
